2033 Vision

Have you ever wondered about your life in the future? Whether it’s five, ten, or even thirty years from now. As a university student, I think about the future frequently; it gives me motivation and clarity about what I’m doing and why. It also keeps me excited and optimistic, even during my lowest days. In this post, I will briefly explain my grand 10-year vision of my life until 2033 through a series of three goals.

Goal 1

Before I explain where I want to be, I want to describe where I am right now. I am a 2nd-year Rutgers University student majoring in Urban Planning and Design. I am on track to graduate and achieve my degree in the next two years. Chronologically, this is my first goal. My plan to accomplish this goal is through consistent effort and attendance in all my classes throughout all four years, in addition to creating solid relationships with my peers. I want to graduate and pursue my degree because I want to learn more about urban planning and eventually work at my dream job in the future.

Goal 2

After finishing my undergrad in 2025, I plan to travel and study abroad through further urban planning and design education for two years. I’m considering applying to schools in Europe. My dream school is in Switzerland because I love the country’s style of living and beauty. In addition to studying abroad, I want to stay in other countries worldwide, such as Singapore, Brazil, or South Africa, during their major traditional holidays. I want to do this to learn more about how different people live. I want to study abroad mainly to experience how big and diverse the world is.

Goal 3

After achieving my master’s at grad school in 2027, I see myself applying for my dream jobs. The job I wanted for years was to be a designer or architect of a building. However, after going to school, I decided I wanted to work for a large firm that designs buildings and landscapes with the intention of sustainability and a bright future. I plan to manifest this goal by working at various internships, both part time and full time along with keeping my grades consistently high throughout grad school. I want to earn this job because I love designing things and making the world a beautiful and peaceful place.

Finale

By 2033, I see myself as an intelligent and successful man well into a career that I love with some global experience. In addition, I also see myself taking the initial steps to start a family. I have this specific plan over the next ten years to develop a good perspective on life by understanding how different elements worldwide operate. I also think this plan is fun and fulfilling in the process.
